Could you be the winner of the Montegrappa Prize?

Literary agent Luigi Bonomi is ready to reveal the winners of the prize that has so far led to nine book deals.

Before the big announcement, Luigi will discuss with past winners Lucy Strange and Tamsin Winter what they have learnt from writing powerful, critically acclaimed children’s fiction – and what lessons all writers should take away from the current boom in high-quality, socially engaged children’s books.

Lucy Strange’s debut The Secret of Nightingale Wood was chosen as the Waterstones Book of the Month and listed by Amazon and Kirkus as one of 2017’s best children’s books. Her latest book Our Castle by the Sea was selected as the first Independent Booksellers’ Children’s Book of the Month.

Tamsin Winter’s YA novel Being Miss Nobody won the 2019 Brilliant Book Award, the 2018 Calderdale Book of the Year and more. Her new book is Jemima Small Versus the Universe.
